Cincinnati Reds Left-Hander Brandon Williamson to Make First Start of Season Against Brewers
According to Charlie Goldsmith of the Cincinnati Enquirer, Brandon Williamson is set to make his season debut and start on the mound for the Reds on Sunday afternoon against the Brewers.
Williamson has been out all season with a shoulder injury he suffered in spring training.
The left-hander made one rehab appearance for Triple-A Louisville since his setback and pitched 2 2/3 innings, allowing one hit and one walk, but didn't allow a run. He finished with four strikeouts.
Williamson made 23 starts for the Reds in 2023 and was 5-5 with a 4.46 ERA.
