The Reds traded for Brady Singer on Friday in a deal with the Royals. Cincinnati sent Jonathan India and Joey Wiemer to Kansas City in the trade.

MLB Network analyst and former MLB All-Star Dan Plesac praised both teams for the trade.

"He brings a live arm, good fastball," Plesac said. "He, like a lot of young pitchers had some ups and downs early on. I love his approach to the game. He is going to really help the Cincinnati Reds in a rotation that has a young and in my opinion, a future Cy Young candidate in Hunter Greene."
