Cincinnati Reds Second Baseman Matt McLain Getting More Tests As Injury Woes Continue
Cincinnati Reds second baseman Matt McLain has missed the entire 2024 season due to a shoulder injury he sustained during spring training.
Manager David Bell provided an update on McLain Tuesday afternoon.
"He's still getting tested. Different testing to get to the root cause of some of the pain he's having in his side. We're getting towards the end of that. Everything is checking out good so far. Maybe he gets back into swinging again shortly."
It is looking more and more like we won't see Matt McLain in a Reds' uniform this season.
