Look: Cincinnati Reds Receive Awards From Baseball Writers Association of America
The Cincinnati Chapter Baseball Writers' Association of America (BBWAA) awards were announced on Wednesday afternoon.
Elly De La Cruz was named the Ernie Lombardi Team MVP. The 22-year-old led the team with an OPS of .810, 25 home runs, and a Major League-leading 69 stolen bases.
Nick Martinez was named the Johnny Vander Meer Most Outstanding Pitcher. The right-hander pitched in 42 games and started 16 games with an ERA of 3.10 in 2024. He ended the season strong with a 0.83 ERA over five starts in September.
Luke Maile was named the Joe Nuxhall Good Guy Award winner. Maile is known for being a fantastic teammate and for his presence in the clubhouse.
