CINCINNATI — Cincinnati Reds Hall of Famer Joey Jay passed away, the Reds announced on Wednesday afternoon.

"We offer our deepest condolences to his family, friends and teammates," the Reds said in a statement.

Jay pitched for the Reds for six seasons (1961-66). He was an All-Star 1961, posting a 21-10 record and 3.53 ERA in 34 starts. He was inducted into the Reds Hall of Fame in 2008.
