Multiple Teams Interested in Signing Free Agent Power Hitter Anthony Santander
CINCINNATI — Multiple teams are seriously pursuing former Orioles outfielder Anthony Santander.
The Blue Jays, Angels and Tigers are hoping to land the veteran power hitter accordng to Jon Morosi.
Santander hit 44 home runs last season and has 105 homers over the past three seasons. He could be an ideal fit for the Reds. The Blue Jays made Santander an official contract offer.
There are reportedly "a few teams" behind the scenes that are vying for his services.
The Reds have multiple needs and haven't done much in free agency so far this season. Santander would certainly be a big splash, but it appears unlikely.
