Cincinnati Reds Killer Devin Williams Leaves Division, Traded to Yankees
The New York Yankees are finalizing a trade to acquire closer Devin Williams from the Milwaukee Brewers, according to Jeff Passan of ESPN.
Williams has dominated the Reds throughout his career. In 33 innings pitched against them, he has a 1.36 ERA with 64 strikeouts and just 12 walks.
The Reds have scored eight runs off Williams in five years.
The Yankees are sending left-handed starter Nestor Cortes and second baseman Caleb Durbin to the Brewers in the trade.
