Reds Outfielder Spencer Steer Hoping to Be Fully Healthy by Opening Day

Reds utility-man Spencer Steer is still recovering from the shoulder soreness he dealt with late last season and it has been frustrating to him.
“It’s been a very frustrating couple months for me to be honest,” Steer told Gordon Wittenmyer of the Cincinnati Enquirer. “I’m just trying to get it all squared away and hopefully get back to playing a position sooner rather than later.
The 27-year-old thought it would be better by now, but when he attempted to throw over the winter, it didn't go well.
“It’s getting better,” he said. “Obviously I thought it’d be better by now. I just kind of had a couple times (during the winter) I attempted a throw and it didn’t go well.”
The good news is the testing has shown there is no structural damage. Check out the full update on Steer's health here.
