CINCINNATI — Reds starter Nick Lodolo had a successful rehab start on Sunday in Triple-A Louisville.

The 26-year-old gave up just one run and two hits in five innings. He had eight strikeouts, issued three walks and threw 77 pitches (49 strikes).

It was Lodolo's first start since May 14. He missed the remainder of the season with a left tibia injury. He pitched great this spring and could join the Reds' rotation in the near future.

Lodolo struck out the side in the second and third innings on Sunday. He'll be big part of the Reds rotation, if he's able to stay healthy this season
