Cincinnati Reds Complete Sweep, Beat Chicago White Sox 11-4

The Cincinnati Reds beat the Chicago White Sox 11-4 to complete a three-game sweep. Cincinnati is 9-6 on the year. They've won three games in a row for the first time this season.

Reds starter Graham Ashcraft gave up just two runs and five hits in 5 2/3 innings. He also had eight strikeouts.

The Reds struck first in the third inning when Christian Encarnacion-Strand hit a two-run homer. A two-run single from Jeimer Candelario scored two more runs to give Cincinnati a 4-0 lead.

The White Sox answered in the fourth after an RBI single from Dominic Fletcher and a Lenyn Sosa hit that caused a fielding error from Jake Fraley in right field. Chicago cut the deficit to 4-2, but the Reds answered with two more runs in the fifth that helped seal the game.

Nick Martini his a two-run homer to give Cincinnati a 6-2 edge.

The Reds added to their lead in the seventh, scoring four more runs. They added another run in the ninth for good measure, as they cruised to an 11-4 win.
