Cincinnati Reds Lose to Milwaukee Brewers 7-2
The Reds got beat up by the Milwaukee Brewers on Wednesday, losing 7-2 and falling to 6-6 on the season.
Hunter Greene had his worst start of the season so far, giving up seven runs on six hits in six innings. He had nine strikeouts and only issued one walk. The Brewers scored five runs in the first two innings to take control of the game.
Wade Miley went four innings and gave up only one hit and one run for Milwaukee.
Christian Yelich continued to punish the Reds as he hit a two-run home run in the first. Blake Perkins also hit a home run in this game for the Brewers.
Jackson Churio had one hit, two RBI and scored two runs.
Aside from the home runs, the best play for Milwaukee was the two RBI single that was sharply drilled by Willam Contreras.
Elly De La Cruz hit his third home run of the season. He finished 2-for-3 and has a .318 batting average this season.
The Reds wrap up their series against the Brewers on Thursday at 1:10 p.m. ET.
