CINCINNATI — Spencer Steer hit a grand slam in the 10th inning and the Reds beat the Phillies 6-3 on Monday night.

The Reds walked twice to start the tenth, with Will Benson and Jonathan India showing patience at the plate. Steer walked to the plate with the game tied 2-2. Steer drilled a 2-1 pitch to left center field to not only break the tie, but put Cincinnati in position to improve to 3-1 on the season.

Tejay Antone gave up one run in the 10th, but was able to get out of the jam by striking out Bryce Harper to secure the win.

The Reds improve to 3-1 on the year. They've won back-to-back games for the first time this season.

Here are other notes from Cincinnati's third victory of the season:

Andrew Abbott made his first start of the season, giving up two runs in 5 1/3 innings. He gave up three hits, issued two walks and had four strikeouts.

The game got going early as the lead-off hit was a triple in the first at-bat of the game for Jonathan India. He later was caught at home to confirm the zero on the scoreboard for at least the first inning.

A double from Alec Bohm scored two runs for the Phillies to damage Abbott early. Kyle Schwarber and Trea Turner scored on the play.

The rally Reds came to life in the sixth inning trailing 2-0. They made a comeback to equalize the score after a Christian Encarnacion-Strand single with a RBI that drove in India. The second run came from an RBI single from Jeimer Candelario.
