Spencer Steer had the biggest moment of the game. He hit a three-run homer in the eighth inning with the game tied 5-5 to push the Reds over the top. It was part of a five-run eighth innning for the home team. Steer went 2-for-3 on the day with three RBI and two runs. The red hot Reds outfielder continues to dominate this season. He has three home runs in eight games.
Elly De La Cruz reached base three times and scored three runs. He extended his hitting streak to 13 games, which includes a hit in all eight contests this season.
Stuart Fairchild had quite the showing at the plate, finishing 2-for-2 with one RBI and one run. He pinch-hit for Nick Martini in this one and the substitution worked out for David Bell in the long run.
