Cincinnati Reds Promote Lyon Richardson From Triple-A Louisville

Richardson will give the Reds added bullpen depth.

The Cincinnati Reds have called up pitcher Lyon Richardson from Triple-A Louisville. To make room for Richardson, they have optioned right-handed pitcher Casey Legumina.

Richardson is the Reds #13 ranked prospect. Over his last five starts for Triple-A Louisville, he has a 3.12 ERA with 23 strikeouts and eight walks in 26.0 innings pitched.

The Reds call up Lyon Richardson and option Casey Legumina to Triple-A.

Nick Martinez is going to start for the Reds today, but David Bell said recently that Martinez would need time to fully be built all the way up. Richardson is built up as a starter.
