The Reds acquired right-handed pitcher Owen White from the Rangers on Monday in exchange for cash considerations.

The 25-year-old appeared in three games for the Rangers in 2024, giving up eight runs in three innings.

He also pitched in 29 games in Triple-A with 5.64 ERA over 99 innings and 87 strikeouts.

White was the Rangers' second-round draft pick in the 2018 MLB Draft and was their third-ranked prospect in 2023.

This move gives the Reds additional organizational pitching depth and the chance to revive a former top prospect.
