Carlton Fisk waves home run fair in 1975 World Series, Game 6

The game was one of the highlights in Fisk’s Hall of Fame career, despite the fact that the Red Sox lost Game 7 to the Cincinnati Reds in the next game. Tied 6–6 in the bottom of the 12th inning of Game 6 of the 1975 World Series, Carlton Fisk hit a high shot that hit the left foul pole at Fenway Park. While the ball was in the air, he waved the ball fair with his hands, hoping it wouldn’t go foul. The walk-off home run sent the series to Game 7 and staved off Boston’s elimination.
