On May 15th, 1941, Joe DiMaggio began one of the all-time streaks in sports. The Yankees outfielder went 1-4 in a 13-1 loss to the White Sox, not a particularly noteworthy day on its own. But that game would become the first of 56 straight, a record that still stands today and hasn't come close to being broke. In all, DiMaggio hit .408 with 15 home runs and 55 RBI over the course of his legendary streak.
