Pensacola Blue Wahoos Put Stadium on Airbnb for Rental
Sports Illustrated
The Pensacola Blue Wahoos are offering a unique experience at their ballpark as it sits dormant amid the coronavirus pandemic
For $1,500 per night, up to ten people can rent the stadium on Airbnb, which includes the use of the team's clubhouse, batting cage, and field, along with a batting practice setup. The bedroom next to the clubhouse sleeps ten, and a team staff member will be on hand for security.
This is the first time a ballpark has been available on the short term rental service and is just one of the creative ways the club is making use of the stadium while the season remains on pause. The baseball field is offered on weekends as a nine-hole disc golf course designed by team co-owner and pro golfer Bubba Watson, and a movie and fireworks night is scheduled for the end of the month.
