Angels Fire GM Billy Eppler

Eppler served as Los Angeles' GM for the past five seasons.

The MLB regular season comes to an end Sunday and more front office movement has gone down. The Angels have fired general manager Billy Eppler. The Athletic’s Ken Rosenthal first reported the news.

Eppler served as the Angels GM over the last five seasons, helping to build around Mike Trout with notable additions over the stretch like Shohei Ohtani, Andrelton Simmons, Justin Upton and Anthony Rendon following his World Series championship run with the Nationals in 2019.

The Angels disappointed in 2020 finishing with a 26-34 record, second-worst in the AL West ahead of only the Rangers.
