New "Ohtani Rule" To Take Effect in 2022

Shohei Ohtani will now be able to remain in the lineup all 9 innings in games he pitches

MLB has created a new rule to benefit one of the biggest stars of the game, aptly titled the "Shohei Ohtani Rule". The rule states that if a pitcher is hitting in the lineup, they can remain in the lineup as a DH even if they are no longer pitching in that game.
