Red Sox Fire Chief Baseball Officer Chaim Bloom After Disappointing Season

The Red Sox announced they fired chief baseball officer Chaim Bloom on Thursday after four years with the team.

Boston hired Bloom after the 2019 season just a year after they won the 2018 World Series. In the previous three years under Bloom, Boston made the playoffs once and finished in last place twice, and the Red Sox are currently tied with the Yankees for last place in the AL East this year.
