He did it!

New York Yankees starting pitcher Domingo German made history on Wednesday night by tossing a perfect game against the Oakland Athletics.

German threw the 24th perfect game in baseball history and first since Felix Hernandez in 2012.

German became the fourth Yankee to toss a perfect game, joining Don Larsen, David Wells and David Cone in team history.

Although the righty was booed off the mound in his last start after allowing 10 runs to the Seattle Mariners, he bounced back in a major way to put up zeroes across the board and make history.

German needed just 99 pitches to get through nine perfect innings with nine strikeouts on the evening.

Kyle Higashioka was the catcher in German's perfect game.

The Yankees put up 11 runs of support for German, the offense's largest total since Aaron Judge went down with a toe injury.

The Yankees are now 44-36 on the season. They will go for the series win against the A's on Thursday.
