The Yankees' rotation should be getting a bit healthier soon.

Starting pitcher Luis Severino is set to begin a rehab assignment on either Wednesday or Thursday this week, as manager Aaron Boone told reporters on Sunday.

Severino's first game action since the end of Spring Training will come with Single-A Tampa.

Severino has been building his arm back up with bullpens and three live batting practice sessions. His last live BP came on Friday, in which he threw 40 pitches across three simulated innings.

Although Boone initially said on Friday that Severino would "probably" throw another live BP, he will instead move to the next phase of beginning a rehab assignment.

While It's unknown how many rehab starts Severino will require to build up his pitch count, he could potentially return by mid-May if all goes well.

As long as their rotation remains healthy, Severino would be replacing either Clarke Schmidt, Jhony Brito or Domingo German
