If the New York Yankees have the season that they had in 2023 this year, changes will be made. No player, coach, or member of the front office is safe.

It's the harsh reality of a season that is of utmost importance for the Yankees.

Heading into the year, there might not be a manager in baseball who's on the hot seat more than Aaron Boone. The only other skipper who might have similar pressure is Dave Roberts of the Los Angeles Dodgers after all the acquisitions the front office made.

Boone's seventh season in New York simply can't end the way that it did for the team in 2023.

Will Leitch of MLB.com writes Boone is firmly on the hot seat entering this year. He notes that if it were up to fans who call into the local radio stations, then he would have been gone a long time ago.

However, Boone has survived this long and was given another opportunity to show what he can do.

In his defense, the skipper can't control Aaron Judge running into a wall and getting injured, Carlos Rodon being one of the worst pitchers in baseball after dealing with his injuries, and Giancarlo Stanton struggling.

The front office gave him talent, and last season, they were either hurt or underperformed.

Unless there are multiple injuries again, it's tough to imagine a scenario where Boone returns as the manager if the Yankees don't play well. Even if there are injuries and they struggle, a change might still be made.

The Yankees are facing a season full of pressure, but with Juan Soto, Marcus Stroman, and the returning players, they have no excuse to not have a much better year than they showed last season.
