The vibes are high for the New York Yankees after an Opening Day win against the Houston Astros. After facing a 4-0 deficit at the end of the two innings, the Yankees turned it around and scored five runs durring the middle three frames to walk out of Minute Maid Park with a 1-0 record.

Anthony Volpe impressed, reaching base four times with a hit and three walks. Oswaldo Cabrera hit a massive home run and finished the day with two hits.

Newly acquired superstar Juan Soto made his impact right away, finishing 1-3 with two walks and an RBI. Soto also made a huge play in the outfield in the bottom of the ninth, throwing out Mauricio Dubon to keep the tying run from scoring.

The left-handed slugger is set to sign a massive deal in the offseason, potentially higher than $500 million. New York hopes that’s with them and if the winning continues, they have to love their chances of getting a deal done.

Soto discussed what he’s looking for in a team, hinting at wanting some stability, according to Alden Gonzalez of ESPN.

"That's the best thing for me," Soto said. "Stay in one place and try to, whenever I do this deal, just finish in that one spot."

Yankees fans hearing that should feel good about their chances of extending him. Soto indicates his want for stability and New York can give him that with a 10-plus year contract to keep him around for the remainder of his career.
