There still is plenty of time left in the offseason for the New York Yankees to swoop in and make another big move.

New York already has significantly improved its roster this offseason and should be considered one of the top teams in the American League. While this is the case, New York possibly could end up losing superstar slugger Juan Soto next offseason in free agency.

Because of this, the Yankees seemingly are going all in on the 2024 season. New York still could use another starting pitcher and luckily for the team, there still are some interesting hurlers available.

It's unclear what New York will do, but it sounds like another signing is at least a possibility, according to The Athletic's Jim Bowden.

"Brian Cashman Yankees (General Manager) told us that he continues to have trade discussions with other clubs and is still talking to agents regarding possible pitching addition(s)," Bowden said.

If the Yankees want to make another splashy addition this offseason, the top two free-agent hurlers still available are Blake Snell and Jordan Montgomery. New York has been linked to both in some way throughout the offseason.

New York recently offered Snell a contract but was unable to come to terms on a deal. The club pivoted away and signed Marcus Stroman to help boost the rotation.

The Yankees have an extremely high payroll, but clearly still have money to spend. New York offered Yoshinobu Yamamoto a deal worth roughly $300 million but couldn't get a deal done.

A move may be unlikely, but it's certainly a possibility.
