Shamrock returning in February
UFC Hall of Famer Ken Shamrock announced on Tuesday that he will make his return to the ring as part of the Feb. 13 Valentine's Eve Massacre event in Fresno, Calif. The event is a co-promotion between Ken Shamrock Productions and Wargods.
While the official Valentine's Eve Massacre card has not yet been released, but in addition to Shamrock, you can expect Wargods' heavyweight champion Lavar "Big" Johnson, current Gladiator Challenge heavyweight champion Buddy Roberts, Mike Moreno, Tonya Evinger, Jennifer Tate and Isaac De Jesus on the fight card.
Also featured will be up-and-comers such as Ken Shamrock's son, RyanShamrock, and Zoila Frausto. More names will be added to the list in the coming weeks.
No opponent has been named yet for Shamrock. The bout will mark his first bout since losing to Robert "Buzz" Berry at Cage Rage 25 last March. He is on a five-fight losing streak and looking to turn things around in February.
Shamrock was supposed to have faced Kevin "Kimbo Slice" Ferguson at EliteXC's Oct. 4 event on CBS, but was not medically cleared to fight by Florida's athletic commission when he suffered a cut over his eye in training the night before the fight.
