Watch: Ronda Rousey knocks out Bethe Correia in UFC 190
Ronda Rousey took 34 seconds to knock out Bethe Correia in UFC 190.
Rousey, the UFC women's bantamweight champion, unleashed a flurry of jabs and kicks to take down her undefeated opponent early in the fight. Correia, fighting in her native Brazil, hardly appeared to stand a chance against Rousey's speed, strength and skills.
“I planned to overwhelm her striking first, so she would try and go for the clinch first, and that's exactly what happened,” Rousey said after the fight. Things became personal after Correia made suicide-related comments regarding Rousey earlier in the year. Rousey's father died by suicide when she was a young girl.
