UFC president Dana White says Ronda Rousey will get a rematch with defending bantamweight champion Holly Holm.

White appeared on ESPN’s Mike & Mike on Thursday and said that although he was unsure when or where, there would be another fight. Holm shocked the previously-undefeated Rousey in November to claim the title and move to 10–0, dropping Rousey to 12–1 with a finishing kick to the head.

“I think that if we didn’t make the rematch, me and [UFC CEO] Lorenzo [Fertitta] should probably lose our promoters’ license,” White said. “Yeah, that fight’s going to happen. I don’t know when, but that’s the fight that will happen.

“Ronda Rousey has gone undefeated, taken the sport to another level and was beating the best women in the world in 14 seconds or 30 seconds, so she deserves a rematch,” he said. “Holly agrees she deserves a rematch, and we’ll figure it out.”

Parade planned for Holly Holm in New Mexico

Rousey is currently on a six-month medical suspension from UFC as she recovers from the fight, and is involved in several projects outside of fighting, including acting in movies. ESPN predicted UFC 200, set for July 9, as a potential date for the rematch.
