Ronda Rousey’s coach says she may never watch footage of UFC 193 loss
Ronda Rousey’s coach Edmond Tarverdyan says the former UFC bantamweight champion may never watch footage of her loss to Holly Holm at UFC 193, reports ESPN’s Brett Okamoto.
“I know how to speak to Ronda,” Tarverdyan said. “I know Ronda very well. She doesn’t need to watch that fight. The fight is over. It’s about what we’re doing now. It’s my job to watch the footage and I’m dedicating everything I have to Ronda’s rematch with Holly.”
Tarverdyan added that Rousey’s “head wasn’t straight” following a hit she received from Holm early in the fight, leading to her demise.
Rousey, who was knocked out by Holm in November, will likely face the undefeated champion in a rematch later in 2016. UFC president Dana White announced on Jan. 12 that the clash will not take place at UFC 200 in July, as was originally anticipated.
