Former WWE star CM Punk will face Mickey Gall in his debut fight at UFC 203 in September, the UFC announced on Thursday.

Punk, whose real name is Phil Brooks, competed in WWE until 2014 when he signed with UFC. His first fight was expected to be at either UFC 199 or 200, but was delayed as he recovered from a shoulder injury.

“The instant I got cleared I got on the horn with (UFC President Dana White) and we nailed everything down so I will be debuting Sept. 10 in Cleveland,” Brooks said on the “UFC Unfiltered” podcast. “I’m super excited. For obviously a myriad of reasons. There’s a light at the end of the tunnel.”

Punk (0–0 MMA, 0–0 UFC) will compete against Gall (2–0 MMA, 1–0 UFC) in the welterweight class.

UFC 203 will be held on Sept. 10 at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland.
