Nate Diaz-Conor McGregor rematch highlights 12-bout card at UFC 202
The UFC returns Saturday from a rare weekend off with a huge event at UFC 202. The main event is a welterweight contest between Nate Diaz and Conor McGregor, a rematch of their bout at UFC 196 when Diaz shocked everyone but himself by choking out McGregor.
The co-main event pits light heavyweights Anthony Johnson and Glover Teixeira against each other. At UFC 200, light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier said the winner of this fight is the man who will challenge for his title next, and UFC president Dana White confirmed as much.
The card also features Donald (Cowboy) Cerrone, the always entertaining lightweight who never avoids a fight and lives by the creed of anyone and anytime, which also happens to be the slogan for the event.
The featured bout of the Fox Sports 1 card features bantamweights Cody Garbrandt vs. Takeya Mizugaki. Garbrandt is a rising star and has already angled for a title shot against champion Dominick Cruz with a win.
