Watch: Conor McGregor gives post-fight interview for the ages at UFC 205
After defeating Eddie Alvarez by TKO in the second round at UFC 205 on Saturday night, Conor McGregor was on top of the world. He became the first UFC champion in two weight classes, holding belts in the featherweight and lightweight divisions, and fully embraced the moment with a legendary post-fight interview.
McGregor began by complaining that the UFC did not have two belts ready for him in the ring, then later bragged about handing it to just about everyone in the UFC. He then said he’d make a special announcement.
“I’ve ridiculed everyone everyone on the roster. I just want to say from the bottom of my heart. I’d just like to take this time to apologize,” McGregor started, before pausing.
“To absolutely nobody! The double-champ does what the f— he wants!”

McGregor has certainly earned that right, and backed up his affirmation that he runs New York. What a night.
