Brandon Vera vs. Reese Andy
Dancing around the Octagon for the majority of the fight, light heavyweights Brandon Vera (blue and yellow trunks) and Reese Andy provided a lackluster battle. However, Vera, who owned a four-inch height advantage and dropped down in weight for the bout, did enough to earn a unanimous decision.
Anderson Silva vs. James Irvin
In his first bout at 205 pounds, UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva (standing) capitalized on James Irvin's only mistake. A high kick by "The Sandman" was caught by Silva, who responded with a right hand that sent Irvin to the mat. After a slew of punches for the TKO victory, "Spider" extended his MMA record to 22-4 to remain undefeated in the UFC.
