Pop Culture Hot List
Vernon Davis and Niecy Nash
This special "Couples Edition" of the Pop Culture Hot List begins with a surprise duo in Vernon Davis and Niecy Nash. The 25-year-old San Francisco 49ers tight end and the 39-year-old buxom cop in "Reno 911" were seen holding hands down several Oscar party red carpets and were getting cozy with each other as they watched the show from the Children Uniting Nations Academy Awards Gala.
Julie Henderson and Russell Simmons
Probably the most mismatched couple on Oscar night was the surprising duo of Julie Henderson and Russell Simmons. The 22-year-old SI Swimsuit model and the 51-year-old music mogul were arm in arm as they walked down the red carpet at the "Vanity Fair" and Elton John Oscar parties.
Bar Refaeli and Leonardo DiCaprio
Arguably the hottest couple in Hollywood, Refaeli and DiCaprio are still shy about going public with their relationship. Despite being together for more than three years, Refaeli and DiCaprio arrived and left the "Vanity Fair" party separately and refused to even acknowledge each other during interviews.
Eva Longoria-Parker and Victoria Beckham
With David Beckham in Milan and Tony Parker in San Antonio, Victoria Beckham and Eva Longoria-Parker decided to keep each other company at Elton John's Oscar Party, walking down the white carpet together and chatting up Sir Elton when they arrived.
Mickey Rourke and Chris Jericho
Mickey Rourke may not have won the Oscar for best actor as most predicted, but that won't stop him from making a trip to WrestleMania XXV next month. Rourke is expected to either face Chris Jericho in a match at Houston's Reliant Stadium or be in the corner of another legendary down-on-his-luck wrestler (Hulk Hogan?), who will take on Jericho.
Marko Jaric and Adriana Lima
Marko Jaric and Adriana Lima finally tied the knot on Valentine's Day in a small ceremony, but that might not even be the biggest news the newlyweds have. There are reports that Lima might be pregnant, which she didn't deny after announcing her marriage on her MySpace page. "There are rumors of me [being] pregnant," she wrote. "I just cannot say ... YET!"
Andy Roddick and Brooklyn Decker
Andy Roddick pulled out of the Duabi Tennis Championhips after Israeli player Shahar Peer was denied a visa by the United Arab Emirates. While admirable, it was probably an easy decision for Roddick, who won his first ATP Tour title of the season Sunday, considering he now gets to spend more time with his fiancé and SI Swimsuit model Brooklyn Decker.
Mike Fisher and Carrie Underwood
Some girlfriends don't mind flaunting their love in public (see, Jessica Simpson shaking in a pink Tony Romo jersey), while others are less open about their relationship. During a game last week between the Nashville Predators and the Ottawa Senators, Carrie Underwood was shown on television after a play by her boyfriend and Senators center Mike Fisher. As soon as she saw herself on TV, Underwood ducked down to the floor and out of the camera's sight. Both Underwood and Fisher, who have reportedly been dating for close to a year, have remained tight-lipped about their relationship.
Jamie Gold and Amber Smith
Jamie Gold had never met Amber Smith before he hosted his ACED celebrity poker tournament at the CUN Academy Awards Gala and may never see her again, but he very nearly sent the "Celebrity Rehab" and "Sober House" star to the World Series of Poker. Gold, who won the 2006 WSOP, literally taught Smith how to play poker two minutes before the tournament started and she ended up placing third after Phil Hellmuth knocked her out. As if anyone needed another reason to dislike Hellmuth.
Owen Benjamin and Christina Ricci
Easily my favorite couple on this list is my good friend Owen Benjamin and Christina Ricci, who have been together since they shot "All's Faire in Love" last fall in Michigan. Benjamin, who was in "The House Bunny," is about to star in the upcoming CBS web series "Heckle U," in which he plays a slacker who excels at heckling helpless opponents during men's college basketball games along with Tom Arnold.
