Obama's aide, Reggie Love, a former Duke basketball player, showed up for the celebration despite his joking reservations about the affair.
Obama thanked the Tar Heels for saving his NCAA bracket -- North Carolina was the only Final Four team he picked correctly.
It's tradition for the President to greet the NCAA title winners every season.
The President greeted the UConn women's team on April 27 and played a game of P-I-G with some of the players.
Renee Montgomery beamed as she presented Obama with a custom UConn jersey.
Obama also gave each team a custom White House-embossed basketball.
