Marco Andretti spent some time with grandfather and racing legend Mario before the race, but it was a disappointing day for the 22-year-old. An early wreck forced him to the pits for several laps. He completed just 56 of 200 laps and finished 30th.
Danica Patrick (front) finished in third place, a career-best.
Teammates Dario Franchitti (10) and Scott Dixon sported nearly identical cars, but neither driver cracked the top five. Dixon finished sixth, and Franchitti seventh.

Helio Castroneves led 66 of 200 laps and pulled away after a restart with 17 laps remaining.
Castroneves crossed the finish line 1.9819 seconds ahead of 2005 winner Dan Wheldon.
Immediately after his win, "Spiderman" pulled off his signature move: scaling the fence to celebrate near the fans.
Castroneves celebrated his third victory at the Indy 500.
Castroneves pays homage to the Brickyard track after his win. He became the ninth driver to win the historic race three times.
