Cowboys quarterback Roger Staubach scored two touchdowns in the final minutes of the fourth quarter, leading his team to a 35-34 victory against the Redskins in the final 2:20 of the game in Texas Stadium. The win allowed the Cowboys to steal away an NFC East title and a spot in the playoffs from the Redskins.

A chorus of boos from Cowboys fans wasn't the only thing T.O. was greeted with after his second trip as Cowboys safety George Teague drilled into T.O., knocking him clear out of the beloved star and earning the admiration of fans in the stands that day.
