Boston forward Larry Bird scores his 20,000th career point in the Celtics' 123-95 win over Washington. Also on this day in 1996, Michael Jordan becomes the 10th player in NBA history to reach 25,000 points after scoring 35 in the Bulls 97-88 win at the Spurs.
