Sports Illustrated has named Duke's Mike Krzyzewski and Tennessee's Pat Summitt its 2011 Sportsman and Sportswoman of the Year. Here is a look at the careers of the legendary coaches.

Summit, the captain of the U.S. team, takes a jump shot during the 1976 Summer Olympics. As a player she won an Olympic Silver medal in 1976 and a Pan American games gold in 1975.

Summit stands with a 75,000 check to support Alzheimer's research. In August of 2011 she was diagnosed with Alzheimer's type early-onset dementia. Summit has 1,071 career victories. She's one of only three college coaches to reach 1,000 wins in any sports and leads all men's and women's collegiate basketball coaches.
