This Monday, Comerica Park will host Zubazpalooza II. For a $30 fee, fans receive a mezzanine ticket to the game against the Yankees and a pair of Tigers-colored Zubaz pants. The event, which is already sold out, celebrates the Zubaz phenomenon. The brand was founded in 1989 and rose to prominence in the early '90s for its unique zebra-print design that became popular among NFL players. The brand still exists today and merchandise can be purchased at the Zubaz website. Unfortunately for Tigers fans, the event is already sold out. As Detroit prepares for Monday's big event, SI takes a look at Zubaz and sports.
