Notable Preseason QB Debuts
Andrew Luck -- Colts
Andrew Luck, the overall No. 1 pick, may have Colts' fans forgetting Peyton Manning sooner than expected. On his first NFL snap, he threw a screen pass that was taken 63 yards for a score. He finished with 10 completions for 188 yards and two touchdowns in a 38-3 win over the Rams.
Robert Griffin III -- Redskins
Robert Griffin III (10) got his Redskins' career off to a good start. The Heisman Trophy winner was 4 of 6 for 70 yards and a touchdown in a 7-6 win over Buffalo. His trademark running game was not on display, but he wasn't sacked on any of his 14 plays.
Ryan Tannehill -- Dolphins
Rookie Ryan Tannehill completed 14 of 21 passes for 167 yards and an 11-yard touchdown in the Dolphins' 20-7 loss to the Buccaneers. With David Garrard out pending knee surgery, Tannehill could be closing the gap on Matt Moore.
Peyton Manning -- Broncos
Peyton Manning saw his first game action since the 2010 Pro Bowl and his first in a Broncos uniform in a 31-3 win over the Bears. It was a short outing for Manning, who completed 4 of 7 passes for 44 yards an interception.
Tim Tebow -- Jets
Tim Tebow made his Jets' debut in the second quarter of a 17-6 loss to the Bengals. He completed only four passes for 27 yards and threw an interception. He did scramble three times for 34 yards.
Matt Schaub -- Texans
Matt Schaub returned to action for the first time since breaking his right foot last season in a Texans' 26-13 win over the Panthers. He completed three passes for 52 yards, including a 22-yard strike on third down which set up a field goal.
Russell Wilson & Matt Flynn -- Seahawks
The quarterback battle in Seattle could get interesting. Matt Flynn, the former Packers' backup who signed a big offseason deal, played the first half and was 11 of 13 for 71 yards. He also threw an interception and was sacked twice. Meanwhile, rookie Russell Wilson went 12 for 16 with 124 yards, a pick and a touchdown. He also ran for 59 yards and a score.
