A Volkswagen Kombi minibus owner lovingly cleaned his vehicle after it gave birth during a club meeting in Sao Bernardo do Campo. Volkswagen Brazil, the last plant to produce the Kombi, will cease squeezing out the iconic vehicle on December 20 after 56 years of labor.

Goin' to the dawgs: The Benefit For The Bulldogs at Rosenthal Pavilion in New York City attracted such notable luminaries as the hallowed rapper/actor and his fetching spouse. Um, let us rephrase that. The bulldogs were fetching. The rapper/actor's wife was attractive.

Nothing like a little biebsketball to make life brighter in the wake of a Super Typhoon. Here we have the beloved entertainer showin' 'em how the D is done at San Jose Elementary School in Tacloban, Leyte, Philippines. The Biebs was on a campaign to help raise money for the storm's victims and, in the process, he raised his game as well as his hand, as you can see.

Kiss your money goodbye: Demonstrators gathered outside the Maracana Stadium in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (site of next year's World Cup Final soccer match) to poo-pooh the cost of staging the event and accuse politicians and FIFA of profiting at the expense of Brazilian taxpayers, as if that could ever happen.

This season, the woeful Florida Panthers have had a hard time drawing flies to their games, let alone fans. So why not make it harder for those (fans, not flies) who do show up -- especially the ones who fork over $300 a seat -- to view the action? During a sparsely attended game against the Detroit Red Wings at the BB&T Center in Sunrise, Fla, a shot broke the glass and alas the crew couldn't get the protective paper off the new sheet, so they simply left it on, much to the dismay of the paying customers who were forced to move. Fortunately, they had plenty of empty seats from which to choose.
