Welcome to another mouthwatering installment of <italics>Did You See That?</italics>, the gallery that brings you the taste sensation that's sweepin' the nation: a burger topped with dried grasshoppers and mealworms. This bad boy was on the menu at a recent event sponsored by Ehrlich Pest Control at the Occidental Restaurant in Washington, DC. For one day only (thank heaven), Pop-up Pestaurants appeared in cities around this big ol' globe to tantalize your palate with sweet and savory edible bugs and much, much more. Ehrlich even donated $5 to DC Central Kitchen for every person who managed to choke something down at the event and, we presume, not bring it up in polite company.

Dinner in The Sky

In other culinary news, this eatery in (or more accurately, <italics>over</italics>) Brussels suspended operations so diners above the Parc du Cinquantenaire could partake of a "unique occasion" to discover the city's high cuisine and enjoy a spectacular view. The 22 guests were strapped into chairs around a mini kitchen where a "starred" chef rustled up the grub and vino. Brussels (home of the famous sprouts) wants to become a major actor on the European gastronomic scene. No word if grasshoppers and mealworms were on the menu.

Stanley Cup Final action

In even more foodstuffs news, when this black biscuit eluded Rangers netminder Henrik Lundqvist and ended up in his basket in double OT, New York's finest found themselves in a two-games-to-none hole against the Los Angeles Kings as the teams battled for the right to hoist Lord Stanley's famous old soup tureen.

French Open action

Letting the eyes have it: Fernando Verdasco clearly felt like clawing his peepers out while falling to Andy Murray in straight sets during their fourth round match at Roland Garros Stadium in Paris.

Sheep soccer

There was wild and wooly action on International Poncho Day in Colombia as Brazil (seen here) battled the host nation. Just to spin you a quick yarn, the big day is celebrated every year as local craftsmen make sheep ponchos using ancient ancestral techniques.

Elephant soccer

The World Cup is comin' up and if you're not sure which teams deserve a wager of your hard-earned doubloons, perhaps Nelly can help you decide. The prognosticatin' pachyderm boasts an 87.5 percent accuracy rate in forecasting the outcome of matches by playing them in advance. Here, Nelly booted the ball into the German goal at Serengeti Park in Hodenhagen, thus almost guaranteeing a victory for Portugal in its World Cup game against vs. Germany on June 16.

It's hard to stomach, but the beloved owner of the L.A. Clippers is reportedly ruminating on whether to proceed with his $1 billion lawsuit against the NBA. Apparently, he's peeved by the fact that his $2.5 million fine and lifetime ban will not be waived even though he agreed to sell his club to ex-Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer for a cool $2 billion.

Lions400 action

If we may get catty for a moment, these hand-painted models stopped traffic on London's famed Carnaby Street to mark the opening of the London Zoo's campaign to expose, if you will, the plight of the endangered Asian lion which is a lot worse off than the Detroit variety.

German Mud Soccer Championships

World Cup, Schmorld Cup. We'll take this title tilt in Rieste any day. It may not be the beautiful sport, per se, but you gotta love an event where dirty play is encouraged. Some 1,000 participants from all over Germany did battle in three categories -- men, women and mixed feelings for assorted titles and valuable prizes.

Soccer wings

The plane truth: This snazzy Gol airlines Boeing 737-800 will ferry Brazil's national team across the country during the FIFA World Cup. Its distinctive design was painted by graffiti artists and identical twin brothers Otavio and Gustavo Pandolfo, presumably while no one was looking.

Bello Nock

You can't knock Nock, who's there trying to set a world record for The Longest Continuous Interview on a Wire while sitting 27 feet above New York's Times Square. His eight-hour stunt kicked off the<italics> ìSummer of Belloî</italics> will end -- not badly, one hopes - on Aug. 30 when the seventh-generation circus performer attempts to perform 15 death defying stunts in Las Vegas.

According to the always entertaining and edifying <italics>Daily Mail</italics>, the former <italics>Glamour </italics>model was seen sporting a "baby bump" in recent photos distributed by social media. Here she's seen sporting not one, but two baby bumps and what the Mail called "a truly bizarre multicoloured outfit" during a photo shoot for her role as Global Ambassador for ColourB4 at London't Worx Studio.

Making like Maleficent, Germany's Chancellor welcomed the thespians of the "Uckermaerkische Buehnen Schwedt" (roughly translated, we think, as <italics>Bob Uecker's Brewer Sweat</italics>) Theatre before a rollicking parliamentary meeting in Berlin. The actors, in turn, invited the Chancellor to attend an open air fantasy festival titled "Der Fluch der Weissen Frau" (The Bane of the White Woman). Guten times!

Jelena Jankovic was the living definition of "racket face" while jousting with Kurumi Nara during the second round.

Campaign funding protest

Gag order: We now present our taped coverage of the recent Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on political donations and freedom of speech. Pointy-headed liberal groups delivered a petition with two million signatures (reportedly by the same person) calling for a Constitutional campaign finance amendment to restore the ability of Congress and the states to regulate the raising and expenditure of moolah in elections.

Obviously a major Syracuse fan, this supporter of Kenyan opposition leader Raila Odinga held certain a peel, though she was suspected of juicing at the big Coalition for Reforms and Democracy rally in Nairobi.

The Russian Navy was out in force for a brazen display of raw power at the big celebration in Stavropol.
