Former Olympian Bruce Jenner: 'I am a woman now'
Former Olympic decathlete Bruce Jenner told ABC News on Friday that he is now a woman, according to an Associated Press report.
"For all intents and purposes, I am a woman," the former gold-medal winner said on the program 20/20. "My brain is more female than it is male."
Jenner won the gold medal in the decathalon in the 1976 Olympics in Montreal, and also placed 10th in the decathalon in the 1972 Olympics in Munich.

Jenner said it was hard for him to talk about his gender issues, the AP said, because he didn't want to disappoint people.
He also disputed claims he was transitioning from being a male to being a female for publicity.
"Do you have any idea what I've been going through my whole life? And people think I’m doing this for publicity," Jenner said, according to People.
"I just can't pull the curtain any longer," Jenner told People. "Bruce lives a lie. She is not a lie. I can't do it anymore."
