Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest 2015: TV schedule, live stream
The 2015 Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest is scheduled for Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. ET in Coney Island, N.Y.
Joey Chestnut has won the last eight men’s championships, eating 61 hot dogs to win the 2014 title. Last year’s women’s champion, Miki Sudo, put down 34 hot dogs.
The contest is held each year on Independence Day. The International Federation of Competitive Eating has sanctioned the event since 1997, overseeing a field of about 20 contestants made up of the defending champion, regional qualifiers, wildcards and special invitees.
The event was first held in 1972. In 1978, it was held on Memorial Day instead of Independence Day.
