Shaun White announces intention to compete at 2018 Winter Olympics
Shaun White hopes to compete at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea, he toldAccess Hollywood.
“Of course,” White responded when asked if he would revisit the halfpipe in 2018. “Oh yeah, 2018! That's the plan. It was already in my head before but it takes a little bit of time to get back into the swing of things. Nothing's more motivating than a loss.”
White, 29, won gold in the halfpipe at the 2006 and 2010 Olympics before missing the podium and finishing fourth at the 2014 Winter Games in Sochi.

White will turn 31 before the 2018 Games.
"It seems easier now, just because I'm more focused," he toldAccess Hollywood. "I'm more aware of my strengths and weaknesses, and how to practice more consistently."
In September, White toldSI Now's Maggie Gray that he was not retiring and would return to training.
White is in Los Angeles for his Air + Style festival at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum this weekend.
