NASCAR Says the Now Infamous Rope in Bubba Wallace's Garage Was Mistaken for a Noose

An FBI investigation showed the rope had been tied that way since at least 2019

After the FBI investigation ruled out a hate crime, NASCAR says the rope found in Bubba Wallace's team garage was mistaken for a 'noose'.

Video evidence showed that the rope, which was used as a garage pull, had been tied like a noose in that garage since at least 2019.

NASCAR president Steve Phelps said "this is the best result we could've hoped for".
