NBA's 50-Point Games in 2008-09

Kobe Bryant, Lakers | 61 points at NY, Feb. 2, 2009

Serenaded with "MVP!" chants throughout the game, Kobe broke by one point Bernard King's Madison Square Garden scoring record. Bryant hit 19-of-31 from the field and all 20 of his free throws in the Lakers' 126-117 victory. This was Kobe's fifth career 60-point performance, one more than Michael Jordan.

LeBron James, Cavaliers | 55 points at MIL, Feb. 20, 2009

LeBron scored 16 points in the first 2:50 of the third quarter as the Cavs overcome a six-point halftime deficit en route to a 111-103 victory. James made 8-of-11 from three-point range. `'Just got in the zone, man,'' he said afterward.

Tony Parker, Spurs | 55 points at MIN, Nov. 5, 2008

San Antonio was staring at an 0-4 start when Parker nailed a 20-footer at the buzzer to force a second overtime. Parker also finished with 10 assists in the 129-125 victory. The All-Star point guard became the first player with a 50-10 game since the Bulls' Michael Jordan went for 57 and 10 against Washington on Dec. 23, 1992, according to STATS, Inc.

LeBron James, Cavaliers | 52 points at NY, Feb. 4, 2009

Two nights after Kobe erupted for 61 at MSG, LeBron scored 20 in the first quarter and cooled off only a bit in Cleveland's 107-102 victory. James was initially credited with a triple-double, with 11 assists and 10 rebounds, but the NBA later awarded one of his rebounds to Ben Wallace.

Brandon Roy, Trail Blazers | 52 points vs. PHO, Dec. 18, 2008

Roy scored 14 consecutive Blazers points in the third quarter as part of the first 50-point game of his career. Portland defeated the Suns 124-119.

Dwyane Wade, Heat | 50 points at ORL, Feb. 22, 2009

Wade outscored his teammates by one point in Miami's 122-99 loss. This marked the first time in 14 years that a player scored 50 points and his team lost by at least 20 points. (Dana Barros scored 50 for the 76ers in a 136-107 defeat to the Rockets on March 14, 1995.)

Jamal Crawford, Warriors | 50 points at CHA, Dec. 20, 2008

In the Warriors' 110-103 victory, the former Bull and Knick joined Bernard King, Wilt Chamberlain and Moses Malone as the only players in NBA history to score 50 points with three teams.
