2011 All-Star Slam Dunk Contest
2011 All-Star Slam Dunk Contest
Blake Griffin, Clippers
A night to remember belonged to Blake Griffin all along. The hometown hero lived up to the hype and won the 2011 Slam Dunk Contest. Despite strong efforts from all four participants, particularly Wizards big man JaVale McGee, Griffin took home the hardware thanks to an array of impressive throwdowns. His signature slam of the night was also his last, dunking over a car while a gospel choir sang "I Believe I Can Fly" at halfcourt. Griffin's first dunk of the night set the tone for one of the most entertaining slam dunk contests in recent memory. Griffin's two-handed, 360-degree slam earned a 49 from the judges.

Griffin channelled his inner Vince Carter with this dunk, finishing with his elbow through the rim.
JaVale McGee, Wizards
Any other year, JaVale McGee might have won the dunk title, but it just so happened he was going up against Blake Griffin on his home floor. In this impressive slam, McGee dunked three balls -- two he was carrying and one off an alley-oop from teammate John Wall.
JaVale McGee, Wizards
Taking a page from Dwight Howard a few years ago, McGee brought out a second hoop for one of his attempts. But instead of raising the rim, McGee did something that hasn't been done before in a dunk contest -- simultaneously dunking on two different hoops.

McGee started from the baseline on this dunk and had to duck his head to avoid hitting the backboard.
Serge Ibaka, Thunder
Ibaka had several entertaining dunks on the night, including this slam from the free-throw line. Unlike Michael Jordan or Julius Erving, Ibaka had his foot almost completely behind the charity stripe.

Sorry, Gerald Green. But your cupcake dunk might have just been topped. Ibaka ripped a teddy bear off the rim with his mouth and still managed to throw down a fierce one-handed slam.
DeMar DeRozan, Raptors

More and more misses are seen every year in the dunk contest, but DeRozan threw down this dunk on his first try. DeRozan caught his own alley-oop and scooped it up with his right hand before slamming this reverse.
